I think if she’s at the store with her mom and meets him, ‘reminding’ him they need to talk about her big project for his class would work well, but made out to keep her on her toes, thinking she’s still got the upper hand. I really want to see this finished, but I understand it not being so. I know most of the comments were about chapter 2 missing, but so far, you haven’t given any major plot points of that night away. Just an idea, hopefully you still get these alerts. My idea is just making chapter 3 turn into 2, then writing the true chapter 2 as a flashback, maybe from April’s perspective, and then leading that into her plotting to meet again.
