“I think I’m going to finish packing for the weekend. “She was head-over-heels for you, Marcus. “You’re insightful when it’s not about you.” She sighed. A little nap on the way out there wasn’t out of order. “Where’s Emily?”
“Getting lunch,” she said. I wasn’t the first one on the chopper. Besides three security agents buckled into place in the back of the helicopter, Erin was sitting at the small conference table in the middle of the main cabin, typing on her phone as she sat crisscrossed applesauce in her seat. “Of course not! And I hated that. I looked back out the window and watched the trees slowly grow in size as the helicopter began descending toward my grandfather’s property.
