My mouth opened and closed silently a couple of times… “Fucking hell….you look stunning!” I breathed and hugged her tightly, “jezuz….I didn’t recognise you for a moment”, I reached a hand to Beth and pulled her in to a one-armed hug and kissed her too, “wow, fantastic work young lady!…damn, you could pass as Cindy’s big sister” I exclaimed. “You can give him the orders from here” she said. “In the kitchen girls” I called, they came barrelling in, propping to a stop as they spotted the two strange women, Anne sitting with her back to them, face averted. I led them to the big doorway opening onto the porch, which was twenty feet wide along this end, “I didn’t show Julie this before” I said, reached and pressed a small button on the wall, a panel opened to reveal a bank of switches in the wall and I flicked one….A semi rigid, clear plastic ‘curtain’ rolled down to the floor at the outer edge of the porch, I flicked two more and the same happened at either side.
